Qumu wanted help to accelerate innovation in their Google Cloud environment by enabling agile development of new cloud native services, designed for long-term supportability, reliability, scalability.
Qumu is the leading provider of a best-in-class platform to create, manage, secure, distribute and measure the success of live and on demand video for the intelligent enterprise. Qumu’s Video Engagement Platform has been used in many cases from Live streaming Town Halls and Executive Communications to Customer and Employee Onboarding and Training to Crisis and Emergency Communications and more.
As part of a larger Cloud Transformation, Qumu wanted to update their Java-based applications in GCE VMs, and transform their software development process by adopting new cloud native techniques, so they can bring more new features to market faster.

This engagement led to the creation of a brand new paradigm, replacing a mono repo structure, with ephemeral Git branches and associated test environments being provisioned. This included Github actions integrations for CI and Harness for CD, ultimately landing application services on GKE with security and networking best practices in place.
